The Blue Devils dominated early, jumping out to a 16 point first quarter lead and a 24 point half time lead on route to a 40 point defeat of the Spartans, 60-20.
However, story of the day was Riley Wilson chasing a milestone, making history and entering the record books. Riley connected on her first three shots to get the 6 points need for 1, 000 points as a Blue Devil, becoming the third player in girls basketball history to achieve the lofty mark.
Twelve Blue Devils scored, led by Riley and her 12 points, garnering double digits also was Madison Stepanik with 10. Not to be left out of the scoring was Anna Weber and Addie Westerburg both had 7 points, Kara DeSmith knocked in 6 points, Natalie George and Chloe Firrell manged 4 each, and Kenzie McMahon, Kella DiGeronimo, Kate Coljohn, Ashley Adams and Sonia Sajovie all pitched in 2 a piece.
The Blue Devils are 17-0, 13-0 in the CVC and back in action Wednesday at home with Lutheran West.
